Peanut butter cookies

Hi love! Let's make some cookies, only this time it's peanut butter. This is mom's old recipe when she was young and now it's my turn to inherit this from her. I made these first time on last raya and I got credits by almost everyone who tasted it. *big grin*
Let's prepare :-
2 cups of margarine (but I prefer using buttercup)
2 cups of fine sugar
4 cups of flour
2 cups of tapioca flour
2 eggs yolk
1/2 bottle of peanut butter(u may have one bottle if it's small size)
vanilla essence
1/4 tsp baking powder
raisins for garnish

Methods:-
Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla essence together. Then add in peanut butter, followed by flour, tapioca flour and baking powder. Mix them until blended. Put in the mold and bake for 20-30 minutes.

Anchovies with chillies and durian paste

hi love! This time I want to share with u this local dish which is my favorite. I can eat this with rice and soy sauce and trust me, it tastes GOOOODDdddd.. some of u may not eat tempoyak(durian paste) but just give this a try. I remember how my twin cousins love this when I cooked this during the fasting month. The more spicy the dish, the better. I love this savory dish and ouchhhhhh...*drooling* I love spicy food. Let's prepare:-

anchovies (ikan bilis)
lots of chillies (make sure cili padi) - blend them but not too fine
onions (bawang besar) -blend them but not too fine
durian paste(tempoyak)
a pinch of salt

methods:-
fry the anchovies, (petua mama saya, bila minyak dah panas baru basuh ikan bilis tu, jangan basuh awal-awal). Once done, toss them first. Then, using the same cooking oil, pour in the chopped/blended onions and cili padi until it cooked well. then add in tempoyak(it's up to u how much u want to add in- saya main campak-campak je). add a pinch of salt or u may add more salt coz the tempoyak may absorb the saltness. then, add in the annchovies and the dish is ready. Usually it's not eaten on its own, but with rice. Good luck and happy trying!

Papa's favorite salad


Hello love! This time I want to share this awesome salad which is my dad's favorite. Everytime when I'm back at hometown, he'll ask me to make this and stock up inside the fridge so he could have this healthy salad with his meal. We both love salad and instead of having the ordinary salad, I made some experiments by mixing up veggies and fruits so it would have a balance taste -u can taste the sourness, the sweetness, the crunchiness and it's colorful. I'd recommend u to make this at home for your kids. Usually kids are more attracted to colors so why don't u encourage them to eat this healthy food? U can have it with rice with other dishes, or u can have it with potatoes, fries or simply eat them alone. Make them in a bigger size or portion so u could keep it inside the fridge and take them out whenever u feel like eating. Let's have a glance at what we need to make this healthy salad :-

red cabbage
cabbage
capsicum
cherry tomatoes (but u may skip this if u want to make a whole week stock coz the salad may end up with gravy salad -haha sorry i just don't know how to put it in words)
green peas
green apples
sour mangoes
guavas
carrots
a squeeze of lemon juice
salad dressing ( i prefer this as compared to mayonnaise)

methods:-
grate the cabbage, red cabbage, cut or grate the mangoes, guavas and mangoes to thin slices.
then mix the rest with salad dressing squeeze the lemon and mix them well. ta-da! your tropical salad is now ready.

Cheesy chicken baked rice


This is my signature in cooking. I love baking this at home and ask friends to come over. It's very simple yet yummylicious. Try yourself. It takes an hour to prepare it and very simple. Let's check out the ingredients :-

3/4 cup of long grain rice (basmathi is the best)
1 1/3 cup of water
3 pieces of boneless chicken breast/thigh
slice onions
coarse black pepper (i usually blend them)
1 can of campbell's cream of chicken (or u may opt for cream of chicken with mushroom)
cheese (u may use the cheddar slice or grated cheese or parmesan)

method:-
pour rice, water, onions,black pepper, and cream of chicken into the cooking ware.
arrange the chickens on top of them.
bake for 45mins-1 hour at 175 degrees.
sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the rice once they have cooked.

Hello love! I'm here to share my passion in cooking. I'm not an expert in cooking, but there's plenty of room for improvement and I'm still learning from time to time. Forget about who's the good cook and who's not. Let's cook with love and it's the efforts that matter, right?

I enjoy cooking especially when I'm back at my hometown. I love trying what's look good in cooking magazine - be it local, western or any dishes, from main course to desserts. But always remember this: no matter how terrible the dishes may turn out, as long as u cook with love, Insya Allah with frequent practices and passion, u'll make it through.
